Alberto Petrivelli was born in Orvieto, Italy, and grew up in Tuscany. Since the early 2000s he has lived and worked in London, developing a multidisciplinary practice that combines synthetic fibres, metals, clay, resin, oil, and acrylic to create works that blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture.
Over the past two decades, Petrivelli has exhibited in London, the Netherlands, Italy and Australia, gaining recognition for a distinctive style that captures movement, light, and fluidity.
His works embody a “controlled chaos,” where colours seem to break free from the canvas—suggesting a release from material concerns and a search for a more spiritual state.
He now works between Australia, Italy & UK.
